About Kevney
Born and raised in Michigan, Kevney grew up playing any sport he could make time for. In the long run soccer and fly fishing were the two that stuck. Fly fishing was the one that offered a working opportunity out of college and took him to Livingston Montana, San Jose California, Jackson Wyoming and eventually to Bend. Having the opportunity to be the Sports Development Manager at Visit Bend is a dream come true. Rarely does one have the opportunity to take their passions and provide them on such a grand stage to such a wonderful community.
What's Your Favorite Bend Adventure?
There is nothing I would rather do than spend time on the Deschutes River. The variety of scenery combined with world class fishing opportunities makes it a unique resource. A close second is the vast opportuinites for trail running within minutes of downtown Bend.
What's Your Favorite Dining Spot?
Zydeco has to get the nod as my favorite eatery. Great atmoshpere, great variety on the menu and wonderful service makes this a must visit location.
Best Piece of Advice for First Time Visitors to Bend?
There are so many things to do in Bend. Don’t go the easy route and just do what you know. Take advantage and try something you never thought you would do whether its rock climbing, rafting, fly fishing or one of the other options we are so lucky to have right out our back door.
