About Lynnette

Lynnette’s responsible for managing Visit Bend’s day-to-day marketing and outreach efforts, including advertising, collateral, direct and electronic marketing, social marketing, web site and public relations.

Prior to joining the team at Visit Bend, Lynnette spent over six years as the marketing director for RE/MAX Sunset Realty & Vacations, the largest independent vacation rental company in Sunriver. Lynnette is an executive committee board member for the Advertising Federation of Central Oregon (AdFed) and currently serves as treasurer. She's been involved in AdFed since 2001 and served as a board member since 2006.

She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington in 1996, and moved to Bend in 2001 with her husband, Jay. Her passions include a love for adventure and adrenaline sports including motocross, rock climbing, snowboarding, wakeboarding/surfing, jet skiing, scuba diving, and surfing.

What's Your Favorite Bend Adventure?

Jumping waves on my Kawasaki jet ski on a hot summer day at Big Lake. Then going for a late afternoon dirt bike ride. Climbing at Smith or a short hike with my pooch, Gitsy, is a close second for an after-work adventure during the week.

What's Your Favorite Dining Spot?

Patio dining at Anthony’s along the Deschutes River. The strawberry lemonade vodka cocktails are to die for. Baltazar’s is a top-pick, too— great upscale Mex food!

Best Piece of Advice for First Time Visitors to Bend?

Refer to the trip planner on the Visit Bend website—the trip suggestions are from Bend locals. Buy the Bend Overall book by Scott Cook if you are looking for more off-the-beaten-path sort of stuff to do. Remember, you can’t do it all—you'll just need to come back more often!
