The Halloween Cyclocross Crusade of Bend, Oregon (formerly called the Day of the Dead Cyclocross Festival) is happening October 25-27, 2013 and is home of the famous Halloween Cross Crusade cyclocross race.

Halloween Cyclocross Crusade
Two full days of epic racing for all categories on the National Championship course at Deschutes Brewery in the Old Mill District.
The legendary Halloween Cyclocross Crusade race has been drawing crowds in Astoria, OR for years, but now it's Bend's turn to have a little fun. The race will take place at Deschutes Brewery in the Old Mill District on October 25-27, 2013.
Witness the fun and mayhem of over 1,000 cyclocross racers donning costumes and competing for Cross Crusade points. In addition to two days of epic racing, attendees will enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of the Deschutes Brewery beer garden, live music, and cultural food and festivities. Clydesdale Cyclocross Championship of the Universe
The Knights of the Cross Crusade have spoken; therefore, let it be known that on the fourth Saturday of the tenth month of the year 2013, a Clydesdale Champion of the Universe will be knighted. Cyclocross gladiators weighing 200 pounds (1.428 Contadors) or more, and Athenas, female gladiators weighing 160 pounds (1.142 Contadors) or more are eligible to enter the ring of battle. You won't want to miss this epic event on Saturday night October 27 at Deschutes Brewery. Seriousness will not be tolerated.

Festival Schedule of Events
Friday October 25 -
6-9PM: Early Registration and Opening Ceremonies at Deschutes Brewery Warehouse.
Get a jump on early registration and celebrate the kick-off of the 2013 Halloween Cross Crusades with your friends from Deschutes Brewery, Visit Bend and the Cross Crusade. Free Deschutes beer will be served to all registered racers.
Saturday October 26 -
8AM to 4PM: Halloween Cross Crusade races in the Old Mill District and Deschutes Brewery. Register at www.crosscrusade.com
8:30 – 9PM: Don't miss the 4th Annual Clydesdale Championship of the Universe at the Old Mill District and Deschutes Brewery.
8PM – 2AM: Deschutes Brewery Warehouse Party Must be 21 or older to enter.
Theme: Cyclo De Soleil (vintage carnival & adult circus). Beer-inspired & carnival-themed appetizers.
Keepsake photos to take home and plenty of tasty beer!
$10 Entry Fee - It goes for a really really good cause. Proceeds benefit the Bend Paddle Trail Alliance (BPTA)

Delachaux is San Francisco's sonic blastronaut par excellence. His intoxicating "big-beat-burlectro-swing" style of pouring vintage samples and exotic orchestrations over a barrage of saucy beats has fused a wild carousel of voluptuous voodoo and body-quaking bass that have made him one of the west coast underground's most seminal DJ/producers.

Sunday October 27 -
11am-1pm: Commute Options Bicycle Decorating and Kiddie Kross Races in the Old Mill District and Deschutes Brewery.
Kids can decorate their bikes and parade over in time to participate or spectate at the Kiddie Cross Races. Kiddie Kross is a non-competitive event for those 12 and under. Kiddies will be divided into 2 categories based on height and bike type: A's and B's. All 3 wheel bikes or bikes with training wheels are automatically in B's. Kids on two wheels, over established height are A's. B's will do small inner loop specifically designed for them. A's will do ONE lap on the cross course.
