Snow Sledding and Tubing in Bend Oregon

Experience the exhilaration of flying down a mountain at top speeds, even if you’ve never learned to ski. Bend is home to the Snowblast Tubing Park at Mt. Bachelor, as well as a number of great locations to grab a sled and enjoy winter in simple and easy way for the whole family.

Race down the groomed tracks of Mt. Bachelor’s Snowblast Tubing Park with your friends and family spinning and bouncing beside you. With the winter wind in your hair and a permanent smile on your face, you won’t be able to resist another ride on the comfortable surface lift that will whisk you up to the top for another thrilling trip down the shoots. The tubing hill operates from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. most days and sessions do sell out, so get your tickets early and prepare for the ride of your life.

It is not uncommon for parents to have more fun than their kids while sledding at the Wanoga Sno-park, just off Century Drive, southwest of Bend. Bring your toboggans, discs and boogie boards and enjoy this accessible and inexpensive way to experience the outdoors. Wanoga is a newly established sledding area that has plenty of parking available with a sno-park parking permit.

A short drive from Bend, thrill seekers will find some established sledding hills in Sunriver. In town, on Theater Drive, there is a popular hill near the Sunriver Community Church. If you have a four-wheel-drive vehicle you can explore a more remote location by traveling on Forest Service Road 9720, which is east of U.S. Highway 97 at the Sunriver exit.

Whether you are blasting down the hill on a tube at Mt. Bachelor or cutting fresh tracks on a powder day at Wanoga, sledding and tubing are a great way to unite adrenalin junkies of all ability levels for an unforgettable day of winter excitement.
