The Restaurant at Awbrey Glen Review

The Restaurant at Awbrey Glen Golf Club is nestled into the historic pines on Bend’s Westside, with picturesque views of the Cascade Mountains. No need to be a golfer to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere punctuated by mountain and lush golf course views.
Many people don’t realize the restaurant at one of Bend’s iconic golf clubs is open to the public and, for those in the know, a popular spot for elegantly casual dining. And in warm weather, one can sit out on the patio while dining and enjoy the fresh mountain air and relax in the sun.
A recent “happy hour” visit by the Visit Bend foodies elicited great responses. The welcoming dining room is well appointed, with a sparkling open bar, large stone fireplace, original artwork and lush plants. Walls of windows frame your spectacular view.
Friendly, attentive service introduced us to a menu ranging from a simple,
but tasty, Chips & Salsa to Steak Bites - blackened premium steak flamed with bourbon sauce. The Fried Mozzarella was moist and soft with a crunchy outside and flavorful sauce. Other favorites were the Coconut Shrimp and tasty Kobe Beef Mini Sliders. Even with several people at the bar and families at nearby tables, the ambiance was low-key, making for a comfortable, relaxing end to the day.
The Restaurant at Awbrey Glen is open for lunch Tuesdays through Sundays 11:00am to 3:00pm, and dinner Wednesdays through Sundays 5:00pm to 8:30pm. Breakfast is also served on Sundays from 8am until 1pm--we’ll be back for the Dutch Apple Pancakes! The patio is open for ou

Daily specials complement a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches midday as well a tantalizing dinner selection of fresh seafood, rich lamb and beef, savory chicken and perfectly seasoned vegetarian dishes. The restaurant also features top-quality wines and tempting desserts.
