There is always something fun happening in Bend, Oregon. Central Oregon is home to a variety of year-round events from sporting and recreational festivities like the Cascade Cycling Classic and the Pole Pedal Paddle to an array of festivals like Balloons Over Bend, Bend's Bend WinterFest and Summer Festival, the Halloween Cyclocross Crusade & Festival, and free summer concerts at the Les Schwab Amphitheater.

The PoetHouse artists along with guest artist Aaron Lish will be exploring Seeds of Capitalism in their upcoming show which opens with the First Friday Artwalk, May 4th and runs through May 28th.

The PoetHouse resident artists have chosen a more politically-based theme to challenge their creativity, while also embracing the fact that much of contemporary art is about more than just self-expression.  With Seeds of Capitalism the artists will be following in the footsteps of internationally recognized artists like Santiago Sierra, J.S.G. Boggs (aka Money Man), and Jeff Koons to name a few, whose works explore the concepts of money, capitalism, consumerism, and the exploitation of fellow humans to get ahead.
