There is always something fun happening in Bend, Oregon. Central Oregon is home to a variety of year-round events from sporting and recreational festivities like the Cascade Cycling Classic and the Pole Pedal Paddle to an array of festivals like Balloons Over Bend, Bend's Bend WinterFest and Summer Festival, the Halloween Cyclocross Crusade & Festival, and free summer concerts at the Les Schwab Amphitheater.

Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Eva Eagle for a hike at Whychus Canyon Preserve.

We’ll follow a trail through old-growth juniper forests that ends at a boulder outcropping with amazing views of Whychus Creek and the canyon. Then, we’ll make our way down into the canyon to hike along Whychus Creek before making the journey back up to the canyon rim.  Registration is required and opens 30 days prior to the event; please register online at www.deschuteslandtrust.org/events. Rating: Difficult, ~4-5 mile hike. What to Bring: Lunch/snacks, water, sturdy hiking shoes, hiking poles. Dress for the weather.
