                      How to Get to Bend 

Centrally located between US Highway 97 (a north and south route from Madras to Klamath Falls), and State Highway 20 (the east and west route from Idaho/Burns to Salem/Willamette Valley), Bend is easily accessible from all major routes and just a leisurely 2.5 to 3 hour drive, about 160 miles (260 kilometers) south east of Portland, along a route highlighted with scenic beauty.

Directions:

From Redmond Airport  (RDM)
(Serviced by Horizon Air, United Express & Skywest) Exit the airport, take a left and follow the signs for US 97, go past the railroad tracks and go underneath the overpass. Take a left onto Highway 97.  Head south towards Bend and continue south on Highway 97 for approximately 16 miles.

From Portland Airport (PDX)
Exit the airport and follow signs for Interstate 205 (I-205) South, once on I-205 look for signs to Interstate 84 (I-84) East. On I-84, take exit 16 (Wood Village exit) south towards Gresham. Follow the directional signage for US 26 east towards Mt. Hood. Continue US 26 east towards Madras, where US 26 merges with US 97. Continue south on US 97 through Redmond and then the next town will be Bend.

From Eugene
Take Interstate 105 (I-105) East to State Highway 126, continue east until it merges with Highway 126/20. Continue east on US 20 towards Sisters. Passing through Sisters continue US 20 into Bend. Follow the signs for downtown.

Mileage: 127 miles/204km

From San Francisco
Take I-80 North to I-505 to I-5 to Weed, California. Take the exit for US Highway 97 towards Klamath Falls and Bend. Continue North on US Highway 97 until you reach Bend.

From Seattle
Take Interstate 5 (I-5) South and then follow the signs for Interstate 205 (I-205) South into Oregon. Once on I-205 look for signs to Interstate 84 (I-84) East. On I-84, take exit 16 (WoodVillage exit) south towards Gresham. Follow the directional signage for US 26 east towards Mt. Hood. Continue US 26 east towards Madras, where US 26 merges with US 97. Continue south on US 97 through Redmond and then the next town will be Bend.

From Boise
Take Interstate 84 (I-84) West towards Ontario. Take the exit for US 20 towards Burns. Continue on US 20 through Burns toward Bend. Burns is approximately 132 miles/212km from Bend. US 20 comes right into east Bend. Continue straight on US 20- it becomes Greenwood Ave.  Continue west on Greenwood and that will lead you to downtown Bend.
