A gun range open to any person 18 years or older who may legally possess firearms, Central Oregon Shooting Sports Association (COSSA Park) is a not for profit organization built on grants, donations and the dedication of volunteers. New members must attend a safety and range orientation class and pass a safety quiz before they can receive their gate access code to use the range facilities. Visits to the range during an orientation are available to see the safety protocols and opportunities afforded to members. COSSA members may participate in a variety of shooting clubs and disciplines. COSSA Kids, Pine Mountain Riflemen, COSSA Practical Shooters, Central Oregon Precision Riflemen, and Lady Hawks are just a few of the groups available, all created to help members increase their proficiency, handling, and accuracy, while promoting safe firearm use. Numerous club events are held throughout the year at the COSSA range, which is located on Highway 20, approximately 20 miles east of Bend.
