Cultus Lake Resort in Bend, Oregon is a favorite Pacific Northwest destination for family vacations. Cultus Lake is one of the largest and deepest in Central Oregon, and one of the most popular because it is one of the few that allows high speed motorized water craft. The pristine, tree-rimmed lake is bustling with summertime fun seekers water-skiing, windsurfing, swimming, sailing, and jet skiing on the lake as well as hiking and biking the trails that lead north into the Three Sisters Wilderness. The resort’s store has everything you need for a day on the lake or beach, from ice to cold beverages to fishing tackle to water toys. Take a break from cooking and tuck in to a hearty home-cooked breakfast, lunch or dinner at the country restaurant. Weekly specials include an all-you-can-eat rib dinner on Fridays and Saturdays, and a breakfast buffet on Sunday mornings. Order up a milkshake or ice cream cone at the lunch counter and enjoy it on the resort’s beautiful outdoor deck overlooking the lake. Guests can moor boats at the marina, or rent one of the resort’s motor boats, pontoons, kayaks, jet skis or paddle boards. The resort’s season opening and closing dates vary so call or visit the web site for specific dates and reservations.

Two Days for the Summer Outdoor Enthusiast

Are you coming to Bend to enjoy the multitude of recreation? If yes, then this list is for you! This list gives a variety of different activities allowing for all skill levels. There are plenty of great accommodations to choose from, but I suggest Bunk + Brew and LOGE Entrada because of their community features and being more connected to the outdoor cultures. Start out your trip getting to know the lay of the land so to speak and go get yourself a mountain view! The Tumalo Mountain Trail is short and sweet, great for a sunrise if you are feeling like gettin’ after it. If the Tumalo Mountain Trail doesn’t spark your interest then take a look at some of our other popular hikes. Once you’ve finished that hike you will probably want to get in some water. Elk Lake Resort and Cultus Lake Resort both have stand up…
