Located in northeast Bend, Pine Nursery includes a sports complex for field sports, natural areas, fitness trails, bike trails, a 14-acre off-leash area, all-abilities playground, pickleball courts, and a gorgeous 18-hole disc golf course. Players will enjoy beautiful views of the Cascades and, while the course is mostly flat, natural lava outcroppings offer subtle elevation changes and challenges. Tees are concrete and baskets powder-coated Mach 5s but take care because jagged rocks can scar your plastic. Pine Nursery is one of Bend’s newer parks and is still in development so be sure to grab a course map for accurate navigation. The foliage is mostly junipers, sage brush, and thick desert grasses, and offers visual interest as well as some play challenges along the way. The course consists of eight holes under 300 feet, eight holes 300-400 feet, and two holes over 400 feet. To get to the course from the parking area, follow the footpath to the southwest corner of the baseball diamonds to find the first tee, as well as a kiosk with course maps and a putting area for warming up.
