Rimrock Disc Golf Course is located on the corner of Main and Lynn Streets in Prineville, right next door to Meadow Lakes Golf Course. The nine-hole disc golf course is made up of mostly flat terrain but is deceptively challenging according to local enthusiasts. With views of the Cascade mountains, it’s definitely a beautiful place to spend some time and the Crooked River nearby adds to the scenery. Watch out though; that very river has been known to take errant discs sailing down its rapids, so you should plan to bring an extra one…or two. Then again, fishing for your disc in the river on a hot day might not be such a bad thing, except for your score. You’ll find a number of hazards and technicalities thanks to tall grass and other obstacles. This is a fairly new course and is still in development so bring a spotter for holes with extra thick sage and other brush. Tees are gravel and dirt and each hole is a par 3, ranging in distance from about 100 feet to over 400 feet.
