The permanent disc golf course at the Seventh Mountain Resort is a family friendly 9-hole course that is even stroller friendly. The course plays through well-manicured, park-like grounds over its flat elevation through grass and Ponderosa pines. There are 9 Innova DisCatcher baskets with natural tees identified by numbered yellow posts. If you didn’t bring your own gear, the recreation center offers rental discs and maps, which is a nice touch for vacating beginners. It is a fun beginner course with well-defined O.B. lines that earned a B+ rating according to reviews on Disc Golf Scene. The resort asks that players please be cautious of other guests while you work your way through the 2,201-foot course length. The course is quick to play and is rarely crowded, with every hole an ace run. However, this also means very short holes and the dirt tee pads can be very muddy. You can choose for yourself if occasionally having to pause for passing horses is a pro or a con; it certainly is a novelty.
