This year we’re also happy to announce that we will be adding a Masters category for female and male climbers 45 years and up. The top three male and female competitors in category will win a bunch of great gear and perks from Bend Rock Gym.
Competitors will also receive free food and beverages from one of Bend’s best local breweries, Silver Moon. Bend Boulder Bash is also a great event for spectators! Grab a beer or kombucha, buy some raffle tickets to support Bend Endurance Academy (Bend’s Climbing Team) and watch some amazing climbing!
The Bend Boulder Bash is a two-part competition: Redpoint and Finals.
Redpoint Round: 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The Redpoint round is a fun and exciting round of climbing for all abilities! Climbers will have three hours to test themselves on a diverse set of 60 boulders. This round will also serve as the qualifying round for the Open categories. Top 6 male and female climbers will qualify for the Boulder Bash Finals.
Finals Round: 7:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
The Finals round is where a lot of the excitement happens! With an eight boulder finals round and 12 athletes fighting for the cash purse (and the bragging rights), the show gets pretty wild. This round will be supported by local breweries and vendors, a live stream broadcast, music/MC/lighting by the Bend Rock Gym crew, as well as an enthusiastic and engaged crowd of climbers from all over the country.
