The free, two-day celebration runs 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 and 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24 and has something for the whole family.
The celebration honors resident and migratory eagles and other raptors in Central Oregon. The event features wild and captive birds of prey, activities to explore the natural significance of raptors, current eagle research, visitors can learn how to create a sanctuary in your own backyard, winners of the 5th annual Eagle Watch Art Contest and more!
Sunday at 2:00 p.m. the Quartz Creek Drummers and Dancers will share the cultural significance of eagles to the Warm Springs Tribe. Kids can meet Smokey Bear, JR Beaver, and Larry the Light bulb. Free first come, first served hot dog lunch available 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or until we run out, fry bread is available for purchase. Daily raffle/silent auction. (Cash & Checks only, No ATM on site)
