View All EventsThe Sisters Stampede is an XC mountain bike race occurring each memorial weekend on Sunday. It was spawned from the inception of a new, revised network of trails in the Sisters, Oregon area called the Peterson Ridge trail. The trails were built by the Sisters Trail Alliance, who are passionate about making this beautiful area accessible to cyclists, runners, and hikers. COTA (Central Oregon Trail Alliance) also plays a big part in the area helping to develop trails for mountain bikers made by mountain bikers.
This thrilling race course features stunning views of the Three Sisters Mountains, and rolling singletrack scattered with Central Oregon lava rock. This course is mainly singletrack which will test riders’ strength and stamina.
A very unique start/finish will be located just steps away from Three Creeks Brewing, which will be launching Stampede Ale earlier in the season for the event and will host the after-race party. Five Pine Lodge, which is on the same campus, will provide lodging. Camping is also available in the city park, just blocks from the start/finish line. In addition Blazin Saddles in Sisters will be hosting their annual block party and packet pickup.
$1000 Cash prizes for top three Men and Women – either Elite or Expert. Other category winners including Elite and Experts will get a Custom Stampede Belt Buckle for first, podium glassware from Three Creeks Brewing, a pound of coffee from Sisters Coffee and a Custom Tote Bag. 2nd and 3rd will get Custom Podium Glassware. First overall for the event will receive a nights stay at Five Pine Lodge in Sisters!
Medical personnel will be at the Start and Finish to treat minor scrapes and bruises, as well as an aid station on the course.
This event sells out each year by Monday-Wednesday the week of the event so don’t be slow on the draw!
