Celebrate National Public Lands Day in style! Campout For Public Lands is a celebration of the land that we love, the winding down of camping season, and a chance to give back and have fun in the Newberry National Volcanic Monument. Located on the south shore of Paulina Lake, Newberry Group Camp is an ideal location to host our 21+ glamping experience. Whether you’re new to camping or have been pitching your tent for decades, we would love for you to join our annual celebration and fundraiser.
On Saturday September 17th, we will kick off a packed weekend in the caldera. Attendees will enjoy catered meals by Port of Subs and Willie Burger Bend, watercraft demos brought by Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe, entertainment from the finest Drag Queens in all of Bend, guided yoga sessions from R’oming Yoga, adult beverages provided by 10 Barrel Brewing, a dance party and a damn good time. The next morning we will provide breakfast, a coffee and hot drinks bar from Pacific Perks, and a Cleansing Yoga class before wrapping up the event.
All of the funds generated from the event go to support Discover Your Forest and our mission of bolstering outdoor volunteerism and creating the next generation of environmental stewards. This year, we have held tickets aside for need-based scholarships. More information on scholarships, general FAQ, and tickets are available at www.discoveryourforest.org/campout-for-public-lands.
