Cornering and Switchbacks (odd dates of the month): The best way to get good at cornering is to practice practice practice. We’ll begin by dialing in body position, leaning the bike and understanding how to handle different types of corners. Next we’ll take it to the trails where we will practice bermed corners, flat loose corners and switchbacks until we are all dizzy with progression!
Intro to Jumping (even dates of the month): Anyone can catch air! It’s LANDING that usually causes problems. Learning to jump is no joke. Things can go wrong quickly if you don’t have a proper understanding of how to take off, stay balanced in the air and land the bike safely. We’ll start by practicing fundamental skills in grass that lead to jumping, (like body position, wheel lifts, level lifts and bunny hops) then take it to small jumps to dial in your air-time. We start small and teach you to land on top first. If you’re not ready to fly to the landing, no big deal. The great thing about these sessions is you can take it as far as you want. If you just want to learn how to take off and land on top so Whoops trail isn’t so intimidating, that’s fine, you can end there and watch others, or you can take it all the way to the landing! Suitable for: All skill levels, Men & Women, 18+ *Cornering and Switchbacks will occur on odd dates of the month and Jumping will occur on even dates of the month.
