Bend Comedy Presents:
– RILEY FOX –
Nashville-bred, Portland-based comic RILEY FOX is a thinking-man in an increasingly non-thinking world. Armed with a lethal combination of Southern charm and West Coast smarts, Riley’s comedy points out the absurdities and hypocrisies of just about everything, from life growing up in the South to musings about politics, religion, and society at large. From comedy clubs to college auditoriums to seafood restaurants to a flatbed trailer behind a redneck bar, Riley has seen it all and done it all, making him one of the most versatile comedians in the Pacific Northwest.
Riley has performed at the Cape Fear Comedy Festival, the Portland Queer Comedy Festival, and the Savage Henry Comedy Festival. He has also independently released two live comedy albums, UNAMERICAN (2012) and FURTHER THOUGHTS & PROVOCATIONS (2013). He has opened for comics such as Nate Bargatze, Rory Scovel, Matt Braunger, John Caparulo, and Gary Gulman. Riley’s Twitter feed (@riley_fox) has been featured in over a dozen high-profile publications, including New York Magazine, BuzzFeed, Cosmopolitan, Huffington Post, and many more.
– COOR COHEN –
Portland-based comic Coor Cohen’s transient upbringing and natural charisma allowed her to quickly develop the “intellectually silly” comedic voice that has become a distinct signature throughout her work. Coor’s performances are layered with intellectual stimulation, thoughtful jabs at the status quo, and the ability to connect with and hold audiences throughout a wide variety of topics, ranging from her obsession with the media landscape, to the peculiarities of public radio fundraising, and even the Wu-Tang Clan. By elevating her material she brings a refreshing point-of-view to any stage, and regardless of what region (or small county) of the country Coor is performing, she leaves their audiences feeling like they just met their new best friend.
Coor has appeared at the All Jane Comedy Festival, the Portland Queer Comedy Festival, the Savage Henry Comedy Festival, and the Cape Fear Comedy Festival. She has opened for such great comics as Shane Torres, Julie Goldman, Ian Karmel, and Derek Sheen. Coor is also the co-producer and co-host of Portland’s “I’mma Leave You with This,” a weekly showcase where the feature and headliner are always a secret to both the audience and the comics. Additionally, Coor plays an active role in causes she cares about by producing multiple benefit shows for various women’s reproductive rights organizations, including Planned Parenthood and Lady Parts Justice (founded by Daily Show co-creator Lizz Winstead).
