Legendary Director, Ron Shelton to Screen Bull Durham as First Features Honoree
We’re so excited to welcome Ron Shelton, screenwriter and director of classic films including Blaze, Tin Cup, Cobb, Blue Chips and White Men Can’t Jump to this year’s festival. Our First Features Program continues BendFilm’s efforts to discover and support new filmmaking talent. Shelton will participate in a post-film discussion and moderate the popular First Features panel. BendFilm Honors Powerhouse Producer Christine Vachon as IndieWoman of the Year
Celebrations will include a screening series of four films produced by Vachon including Carol, First Reformed, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and Boys Don’t Cry. Each screening will be followed by a guided Q&A session where Vachon will share insights from her 30-year producing career and ground-breaking experience in the industry.
