The 1st Annual Central Oregon Llama Field Day is a fun, educational, and hands-on opportunity to interact with llamas and to learn more about the care, handling, and use of llamas. The birthplace of the domestic llama industry in the United States was in central Oregon. This event is designed to introduce or re-introduce our community and visitors to llamas. The event will feature five different stations ranging from a llama pack camp, llama fiber and uses, leading & handling llamas, llama ownership and care, and a Kid’s Corner (coloring, cookies, and books). In addition there will be hay rides and a display featuring a couple of llamas’ camelid cousins (camels and alpacas). In addition there will be vendor booths with llama products available for purchase. An event for all ages.
