The 2nd Annual Unity Film Festival will kick off this year with a program to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with the showing of the film “I Am MLK Jr.” a feature-length documentary telling the story of American icon Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The primary purpose of the Unity Film Festival, which is sponsored by the Bend Bahá’i community, is to impact public discourse on issues relating to the unity of humankind. Films selected explore issues contributing to the current climate of global disunity across racial, religious, and political lines and offer solutions to help weave the fabric of unity, which is indispensable to survival of humankind. Time is set aside after each film for those interested in discussing the issues raised. Admission is free and no donations are accepted.
