Join Jon Nelson, curator of wildlife, and Andries Fourie, curator of art and community engagement, for a field trip to the Metolius River to check pre-set wildlife cameras and participate in a landscape drawing workshop. The wildlife cameras will give participants a glimpse of the animals that live near the river. The workshop provides an opportunity to learn about the ecosystem and then draw the landscape. Transportation provided. Bring a hat, sunscreen, water bottle and lunch. Materials required include a sketchbook or drawing pad (18” x 24” or smaller) and drawing media of your choice. Drawing board recommended. No experience required, for ages 12 and older. This program is in conjunction with the exhibition Desert Reflections: Water Shapes the West.
