Join the Children’s Forest of Central Oregon for a film screening of School’s Out: Lessons from a Forest Kindergarten’ (2013). The 36 minute film follows children four to seven years of age in Switzerland, who attend kindergarten in the woods every day, no matter what the weatherman says. This eye-opening film shines a light on the importance of free play and healthy risk-taking for young children. The film will be followed by a panel discussion about what parents, educators, and health care providers in Central Oregon can do to promote the messages in the film in our community.
Panelists Include:
Dr. Rebecca Hicks: Pediatrician, Mosaic Medical
Rae Alberg: Founder and Teacher, Bend Forest School
