The Flagline 50k is a great 50k taking place on trails in Central Oregon that are only available for a few months of the year. Come enjoy this tour of the high country here in Bend. The race starts at Dutchman Snow Park and finishes at Mt Bachelors Sunrise lodge were racers are treated to post race food and beverage to replenish them after a big day on the trails. The 50k course is a great mix of singletrack and dirt roads located in the high country here in Central Oregon. The course will have about 4000 feet of climbing and promises to impress and challenge all who participate. The course features a single 31 mile loop, starting at about 6,400 feet. The first 8 miles are downhill before facing the first of two 1,000 foot climbs. The majority is single-track trail with some gravel/dirt road in spots. If you are up for it, this is a race to remember. Because of the ever-changing temperatures, fire season related issues and altitude, all racers are urged to over prepare regarding your clothing and fueling. There will be ample aid stations, stocked with the usual goodies like PB&J’s, salty chips, gummies, gels, water, and electrolytes.
