July 4th Pet Parade & Old Fashioned Festival
The 4th of July Pet Parade and Old Fashioned Festival has been a community tradition in downtown Bend since the 1930’s. Come celebrate our country’s independence on July 4th with Bend Park & Recreation! Start out your day’s festivities with the Pet Parade through downtown Bend, then follow up with the Old Fashioned July 4th Festival in Drake Park. Make a day of it: Begin in Drake Park with the annual Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast, then cruise to downtown Bend with your dog, llama, wagon, bicycle or stuffed animal for the popular Bend Park & Recreation District Pet Parade, brought to you by Bend Pend Express. The parade kicks off at 10:00 a.m. sharp and circles through downtown for one and a half miles. After the Pet Parade, head back to Drake Park to enjoy the festival with live music, local artisans, and delicious food. Don’t forget to cruise through the expanded kids & family area where kids of all ages will be entertained with free old fashioned fun and games.
