September
Take your tootsies for a ride through the fruit of the earth! There will be the general stomp where everybody gets to stomp grapes, and then there will be the adult stomp competition. Inside a barrel, you’ll be stomping grapes to extract as much juice as possible. Prizes will be awarded to those who stomp out the most juice. In addition to the stomp, there will be great music, recreational activities for the kids, the usual cheese, charcuterie, olives, chocolates and a roasted pig. Local beer, wine, soft drinks for purchase and free water. Please bring blankets or lawn chairs and leave the pets at home. The Stomp Contest benefits the Redmond Concert Association who are dedicated to bringing affordable world class music to Central Oregon and provide scholarships for local kids. Established in 1999, Maragas Winery is the founding winery and vineyard of Central Oregon. Couched between the beautiful rock formations of Smith Rock and seven peaks of the majestic Cascade Mountains, our visitors relax on our patio and lawn and soak up our views. The microclimate at our Vineyard is suitable for several different European varietals and French American hybrids.
