Enjoy a magical night of skiing and snowshoeing at the Meissner Luminaria, a lighting of hundreds of luminarias. The lit trail is 1.5 miles and leads to the Meissner Shelter where a warming bonfire awaits you. The flickering lights guide nordic skiers and snowshowers. This is a fundraiser for the Meissner Nordic Club who maintain the shelter and trails for your enjoyment. Donations are appreciated. This is a great event for families and is a Meissner long standing tradition. The luminaries are lit at dusk and will burn until about 9pm. If you plan on staying later you will need a headlamp or light stick. Meissner Nordic is Bend, Oregon’s community ski recreation area featuring 40 KM of exceptional cross-country trails, stunning views, and a variety of terrain for both skating and classic. Meissner Nordic (formerly known as the Tumalo Langlauf Club) operates under an agreement with the National Forest Service.
