Located in a craftsman bungalow on the Westside of Bend you’ll find Ariana, an intimate dining space that invites guests to linger. Opened in 2004, this beautiful little gem in the heart of Oregon is known among locals and visitors alike for Chef Andres and Ariana Fernandez’ fresh perspectives on classic European and American dishes. That innovation has garnered Ariana regional and national acclaim, earning it a place on the list of Top 100 Restaurants in America in 2014 and 2016. With a focus on utilizing the bounty of seasonal culinary products available in the northwest as well as local farmers and purveyors in Central Oregon, Ariana’s menu varies and features seafood, game, beef and vegetarian entrees that transcend the familiar. Guests may also choose to put themselves in the chefs’ hands with a five course tour of menu favorites. An extensive wine list highlights selections from Oregon and Washington and creative signature cocktails make use of distinctive spirits and liqueurs distilled both near and far. Desserts are every bit as innovative as the mains so save a little room and savor every sweet bite as you enjoy the glow from the fireplace. Reservations are highly recommended and Ariana is also available for private parties.
Fall is Bend Oregon’s most magical season for many reasons. Nights are much cooler, but days are still filled with sunshine. The trees have gone from bright green to shades of red, orange, and yellow leaves. Crowds have thinned out, but the weather is still nice enough to enjoy your favorite beer on the outdoor patio of your favorite Bend Ale Trail brewery. Hotel stays and activities are getting cheaper, but the experience is just as amazing as ever. You can still count on an event or two happening every weekend. Bend’s restaurants are transitioning to delicious fall-themed seasonal ingredients, including those tasty seasonal brews you’ve been waiting all year to try. With the abundance of outdoor recreation and perfect weather, fall is surely the time of year to be in Bend.
