Started in 1995, Bend Brewing Company is the second oldest brew pub in Bend, so their roots are deep and their chops are serious. Brewing less than 1000 barrels a year, their beer is brewed upstairs overlooking the pub. Their brew system was made in Oregon and is one of the few direct fire kettles in town-one of the things they point to for the nearly yearly awards they garner. Their downtown location off of the Deschutes River at Mirror Pond features a large dog-friendly deck with outside seating along with counters and firepits. The pub interior is set up for professional sports viewing and offers Locals Day every Tuesday, with all pints for $3. They significantly increased their capacity for welcoming guests with the addition of their expanded outside space, which features parking, food carts and space for hanging out in all weathers. This is a place where you’ll find a lot of locals enjoying a laid-back lunch, dinner and pint overlooking historic Mirror Pond.

3 Days Of Winter Happiness

We recommend the breakfast sandwich croissant, but really, you can’t go wrong with a fresh pastry and coffee either. After you’ve enjoyed your breakfast head to Pine Mountain Sports to rent some snowshoes and a Sno-park pass to do a little snowshoeing for your day activity. Pine Mountain Sports is really informative so it is a great place to ask for trail recommendations. If you’d rather go…
