Authentic Vietnamese Food in Bend
Dang’s Vietnamese is located at Reed Market Rd and 3rd Street in the development on the southeast corner. While it may be a little off the beaten path, it’s worth seeking out. Featuring a host of familiar typical Vietnamese favorites like pho (theirs gets rave reviews) and bahn mi sandwiches, the restaurant also serves local favorites like their imperial rolls with shrimp and grilled pork (Bun Dac Biet Cha Gio, Tom, Thit Nurong) and the chef’s recommendation, the rice platter (com dia), a dish of wok-fried rice, carrots, snow peas, egg, green onion, and cilantro. While this place is strictly no frills, it’s nice to have a good ethnic option outside of the downtown area. Their service is quick and their prices allow you to get one of the more reasonably-priced lunches in town, jam-packed with flavor. Reviewers recommend checking the specials board before you order, and more than one person has called their pho the best in town.
