In 1965, a guy named Mike opened the small shop in the sea-side town of Point Pleasant, New Jersey. Fast forward more than half a century and you can find Jersey Mike’s Subs at their two locations in Bend, one off Century Dr on the west side (perfect for grabbing lunch on the way up to the mountain) and the other on 3rd St at Emerson St. Jersey Mike’s offers “a sub above” – one that’s measured in more than inches or seconds ’til served. Each sandwich is topped with what they call ‘the juice’, red wine vinegar and an olive oil blend that give the subs a zing and boosts each bite. “Authentic Jersey bread” is the foundation of their sandwiches and they bake traditional white and whole wheat bread fresh in their stores every day. Veggies to top your sandwich were prepped by hand earlier that day for the highest level of freshness and flavor and they trim and cook their Certified Angus Top Round roast beef right in the store.
