Maybe you drink kombucha for its health benefits. Maybe you drink it because it just tastes good.
We’re not here to judge. We are here to tell you that Bend boasts nearly a dozen kombucha brewers ranging from small mom-and-pop shops to nationally recognized producers like Humm Kombucha, Caboost, and Bucha Buena.
For those who don’t know, kombucha is a fermented, lightly effervescent, sweetened black or green tea. It’s produced using a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast, and has become wildly popular in the U.S. in recent years.
In Bend, you’ll find kombucha on tap at tons of local restaurants. Nearly every grocery store will have coolers packed with the bottled variety (much of it produced locally), and you can even visit a kombucha brewery as part of the Local Pour tour from Wanderlust Tours.
Want to fill a growler to take kombucha home with you? You’ll find kombucha on draft at a variety of locations around Bend, including The Lot and Food 4 Less. Cheers!
