Local Slice really puts the ‘local’ in their name. A neighborhood pizzeria on the southwest side of Bend in Brookswood Meadow Plaza, they feature hand-tossed artisan pizzas and more. They practice sustainability in every aspect of their business by featuring local farmers and suppliers in all that they have to offer and, with customer support, they are able to give back to the local economy. Local Slice is the labor of love of longtime local chef (and original owner of Chow) who saw a rapidly growing neighborhood with an utter lack of restaurants. Choices like “Fire on the Mountain” (spicy red chili, roasted peppers, red onions and fennel sausage) and “Breakfast for Dinner” (farmers’ bacon, ham and farm fresh eggs, sunny-side up), both on a traditional pizza foundation of mozzarella and tomato sauce, make this place a standout. To ensure everyone can enjoy their products, they offer vegan mozzarella cheese at no additional cost and proudly feature Bob’s Red Mill Gluten-Free Pizza Mix for their gluten-free pizza. They also sell loaves of fantastic gluten-free bread that could make you rethink gluten-free. They offer delivery to select neighborhoods.
