Lone Pine Coffee Roasters
Good, Local Coffee Tucked Inside an Alley
You’re not in a hurry are you? Thank goodness, that means you can take the time to enjoy one of Bend’s gems. Lone Pine Coffee Roasters is a small, family-run roaster and café tucked on the very cool brick Tin Pan Alley in downtown Bend. They aim for perfection in your morning (or afternoon) cup and they usually hit the nail on the head. Their teeny tiny café is also their roastery and they are meticulous about the espresso they pull and the cappuccinos they pour. The even admit laboring over their French presses to a nearly neurotic degree, but they really want you to enjoy a superlative cup of coffee. They have a selection of pastries and treats on offer daily and they also have rotating drinks that change seasonally. Don’t miss their Noisette in the winter, which features chocolate and Oregon grown hazelnuts for a nutty but not too sweet experience. They have come up with some other not-to-be-missed combinations, like locally-made Bonta salted vanilla or toasted coconut gelato in espresso, farmers market raspberry shrub and other seasonal offerings, in addition to the ever-fresh works of local artists.
