Los Jalapenos opened in 1994 on Greenwood Ave and they’ve been serving some of the most authentic Mexican food in Bend ever since. Owner-Chef Gonzalo Morales is at the heart of the restaurant, the keeper of the recipes that have kept patrons faithful since they opened. They have a patio in the back for the 21+ crowd and an extended Happy Hour for the same group from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. daily with specialty margaritas and featured food items on offer. Chef Gonzalo is a native of Mexico and, after cooking for a couple prominent local restaurants, put out his own shingle. Not only do they serve lunch and dinner, they also have breakfast. To ensure all their patrons can find something delicious to enjoy, the Los Jalapenos menu features several gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options. They source their beef from Oregon’s Painted Hills Natural Beef, you can place your order online, they offer catering, and they’re just pretty great.
