Va Piano Vineyards, a premier winery located in Walla Walla, Washington, has a wine tasting room at the Old Mill District in Bend, complete with an outdoor patio overlooking the Deschutes River. Most of their wines are Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah made in small lots, with intense flavors, fine tannin structure, and intense aromas. The majority of grapes they use are estate grown, as they source grapes from carefully chosen vineyards across the region because fruit from different soil profiles creates more complex wines. Tasting guests must be 21 years old, but accompanied children are also welcome, and a tasting fee of $10.00 per guest is refunded with any purchase of wine. Call ahead for groups of 8 or more to ensure they can accommodate you. The tasting room offers a cheese plate which guests can enjoy either inside or on the outdoor patio. Open seven days a week from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday – Saturday and 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
