Deschutes River at Lower Bridge Road
This section of the Deschutes features weedy banks, freestone pocket water and broad runs. Home to Red Band and Brown trout the section can be difficult to fish in summer due to the heavy vegetation along the banks. A well-traveled trail along the west side of the river downstream of the bridge (Lambert Road) will give anglers access to the river. BWO and PMD dries & nymphs will produce most days. Skwala in early spring followed by March Browns in mid-Spring lead to Salmon flies in late spring through June. Watch for river flows below 400 cfs for the best fishing.
