Free Rides with Ride Bend

Ride Bend offers on-demand, app-driven transit service to the public. The free service will be available daily through Labor Day, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday – Wednesday and 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday – Saturday. Rides can be requested via a mobile app, or passengers without access to a smartphone can call 866-921-8924 to request a ride.

How it Works

  1. Download the Ride Bend app available on iTunes Store and Google Play Store to get started, or call 866-921-8924 to request a ride.
  2. Summon one of our three, dog-friendly vans that seat up to 11 guests and come equipped with bike racks. One van is also ADA accessible.
  3. Take Ride Bend to your desired location within the service area. If floating the Deschutes River, please use the Ride the River shuttle.

Summer Service Area

The Summer Service Area includes areas of Bend where it’s most difficult to move residents and visitors around during summer months. Ride Bend connects to citywide and regional bus service at CET’s Hawthorne Station.

Ride Bend was made possible by a partnership between the City of Bend, Visit Bend, the Bend Metropolitan Planning Organization, OSU-Cascades, Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council, and St. Charles Health System.
