COVID UPDATE: Ride the River shuttle is not operating Summer 2020, out of safety concerns around the spread of the coronavirus. Please read this blog post to learn about all of the changes on the river this summer.
Ride the River is the popular shuttle that transports floaters to help decrease the dependence on parking along Drake Park. Floaters can ride the shuttle for $3.00, which provides unlimited rides all day. CET’s Ride the River shuttle service begins in mid-June and runs through Labor Day. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, if there is a higher volume of floaters, buses will run every 15 minutes. Service may be reduced based on cooler weather conditions and rain and may be canceled in the event of thunderstorms.
After years of floaters having to get out at the Colorado Bridge spillway and reenter at McKay Park, the newly opened water park has created a passageway that allows floaters to pass under the Colorado Bridge and continue their float without having to exit and reenter the waterway.

HOW TO RIDE THE RIVER:
- Please provide exact change ($3.00) when purchasing your wristband. Drivers do not have the ability to make change.
- Please line up in a single file while waiting for the next available bus.
- If you are in a vehicle, do not park in the loading zone for Ride the River at either the Drake Park Ride the River bus stop or in front of the Bend Park and Recreation admin office.
- If the bus or trailer is at capacity before the scheduled departure time, the bus may depart early
HEAT WAVE SERVICE:
On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, if there is a high volume of floaters, buses will run every 15-20 minutes between 1:30 and 6:30 PM.
RAINY DAY SERVICE:
Service may be temporarily suspended due to inclement weather. Check the service alerts for updates.
