The outdoor fun in Bend doesn’t have to stop before dinner. Are you loathing to leave the river, can’t tear yourself away from the sunset, or are just reveling in the perfect evening temperatures? Bend’s dining scene can accommodate you. Patios, fire pits and beautiful lawns complete with entertainment are attached to many of our fantastic restaurants. Here are some of our favorites serving a healthy dose of fresh air on the side.
Currents, Greg’s Grill, Bend Brewing Company and the Pine Tavern will let you keep company with the many moods of Bend’s beloved Deschutes River with their riverside patios. Crux and Worthy are more than just creative and award-winning breweries. They are also your new backyard, complete with fun games, all your new friends, and sometimes a live band to enjoy. Bend’s food carts have banded together in collectives to create a picnic atmosphere with variety, plenty of brews on tap, and room to spread out. Check out On Tap on Bend’s east side to experience the feeling. If you want to up your altitude, Level 2 in the Old Mill will give you a stunning view of the sun sinking behind the cascade mountain range. Or is it the cool morning, heavy with the scent of sage, that you simply cannot part with? McKay Cottage will fill you up with a breakfast you won’t soon forget in a setting you will always remember.
