Are you coming to Bend to enjoy the multitude of recreation? If yes, then this list is for you! This list gives a variety of different activities allowing for all skill levels.
Start out your trip getting to know the lay of the land so to speak and go get yourself a mountain view! The Tumalo Mountain Trail is short and sweet, great for a sunrise if you are feeling like gettin’ after it. If the Tumalo Mountain Trail doesn’t spark your interest then take a look at some of our other popular hikes. Once you’ve finished that hike you will probably want to get in some water. Elk Lake Resort and Cultus Lake Resort both have stand up paddle boards, kayaks and canoes for rent. If you want to continue with the high adventure, then you can rent a jet ski at Cultus Lake Resort!
For the second day, it will be time to kick it up a notch or two. Bend is well known for its access to amazing mountain biking trails. If you are into downhill mountain biking then Mt. Bachelor has you covered! Or you can take time cruising the Phil’s Trail Complex either self-guided if you feel comfortable, or get in touch with Cog Wild for an expert of the Phil’s Trail system who can provide you with the perfect MTB trip!
At the end of your mountain biking adventures, and your long adventurous day in the Cascades, it will be time to treat yourself to some relaxation. I would suggest heading to McMenamins for a delicious dinner, well deserved beer, and a soak in the Turkish soaking pool!
Please remember, that when you are out playing in the beautiful wilderness surrounding Bend to play like a local; These lands see millions of people during the year and we would like to keep it the same, if not better for each person that gets to experience its raw beauty.
