(BEND, Ore.)—Crosscountry runners from around the U.S.—includingseveral Olympic athletes—are lacing their running shoes in anticipation of theUSA Track and Field Club Cross Country National Championships in Bend next Saturday.
Thenational championship event will take place Saturday, December 14, 2013 at River’sEdge Golf Course. The racing schedule is as follows:
9 a.m. Community4k (open to the public!)
9:45 a.m. Masterswomen’s 6k national championship
10:45 a.m. Mastersmen’s 6k national championship
12 p.m. Openwomen’s 6k national championship
12:45 p.m. Openmen’s 6k national championship
Bend residents should be alert forrunners and increased traffic near River’s Edge Golf Course on Saturday.They’re also encouraged to participate in the kickoff communitywide 4k event inthe morning. For more information about the Cross Country NationalChampionships, check visitbend.com/croscountry.
