Discovery Christian Church is a non-denominational Christian church and the ministry team welcomes worshippers and seekers of all faiths and all walks of life. The picturesque, white church with the soaring steeple is located on Newport Avenue on Bend’s Westside and holds worship services at 9:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. on Sundays. This is a time for song, prayer and fellowship together and ministries are available for all ages. Discovery Christian Church also operates a bustling thrift shop within the building and accepts donations of gently used items to keep the store’s inventory fresh and inviting. Open Wednesdays through Fridays from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., proceeds benefit Discovery Christian Church’s ministries and shoppers can find clothing, shoes, jewelry, housewares, toys, vintage items and more. Discovery Christian Church is a regular meeting place for AA groups throughout the week and the facility can also be rented for weddings, funerals, memorial services and other events.
