Located in the Orchard District of northeast Bend, Faith Christian Center (Faith) was started in 1929 and are affiliated with the Assemblies of God. The dress is casual, with the community as a high priority. Their volunteer staff directs you to the appropriate areas for you and your family. Children gather with their parents and the whole church family during the first part of the Sunday morning service, then go with a team of kids leaders for a service for them in the Children’s Ministry Center. There is also a fully equipped nursery with trained for children ages 2 and under. All of the children’s ministry team have passed background checks and have been trained in ministry to children. The adult service is held in the Worship Center, which holds services twice on Sundays, with additional services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays. Additional services during the week include “Celebrate Recovery,” “Prayer Meeting,” and “Faithbuilders,” as well as three separate group gatherings for men, women, children and youth. They have no formal printed “Order of Worship” or ritual to follow, and worship is based upon Biblical patterns, which often includes media and/or drama.
