Dr. Leslie McIntyre has been involved in equine internal medicine and ultrasound since 1995, including an equine internal medicine residency at Colorado State University (CSU). She also completed the CSU veterinary acupuncture course and was certified by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (cIVAS). She has practiced equine internal medicine, equine neonatal intensive care, acupuncture, and general equine ambulatory work, as well as small animal acupuncture and diagnostic ultrasound/echocardiography for many local veterinary clinics and clients. Her practice, Sage Veterinary Alternatives, lauched in 2005 and focuses on services most traditional vets don’t offer their animal patients, such as acupuncture, Chinese herbs, homotoxicology, and diagnostic ultrasound/echocardiography. In addition, she offers physical therapy for geriatric and performance related musculoskeletal as well as neurologic issues for dogs. Physical therapy is an amazing complement to acupuncture and chiropractic. She also offers laser therapy and attained International Veterinary Chiropractic Association Certification in 2010, so focused, experienced chiropractic care is available for animals in Central Oregon.
