The technique uses compression and effleurage strokes that glide over the body to create a structural change in muscle tissues, releasing chronic tension and holding patterns. Bars are used above the head for support and balance and warm oil is applied to the body to increase glide, with broad, continuous pressure, with most strokes done with one foot on the table and one on the client, so the pressure can be easily adjusted to your preference.
