The St. Francis Catholic Church located on Bend’s east side across from Mountain View High School was completed in 2009, with the historic church that was founded in 1910 still operating downtown. As the number of parishioners continued to increase the old downtown school was sold in the late 1990s, and the McMenamins brewery chain took over the whole complex, and the new school and offices officially opened in January 2000. They look forward to celebrating in 2020 the 100th Anniversary of the Historic Church as they continue to serve parishioners and new families moving into Bend including the increasing Latino community. St. Francis Church offers a number of ministries you can review online in which you can get involved in the Church and then request a booklet from the parish office to receive the list of respective contact people for each ministry or organization. Sunday Mass is held at 7:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. in the main church, with a 12:30 p.m. Nueva Iglesia service (Misa en Español). See the online schedule for a list of other services.
