In 2011, Jen Aylward went on the search for reclaimed metal. She stumbled onto the salvage company that had copper flashing from the old Bend Bulletin building demolished in downtown Bend. That day, Just A Little Charm was born! Now, incorporating other salvaged materials with the copper, she uses her humor and creativity to make necklaces, earrings, zipper pulls and key chains. She can even make you something personalized right on the spot in her downtown gallery and shop. You can find Just A Little Charm at art shows throughout the Northwest and California.

Open during downtown Bend’s regular business hours and located on Oregon Avenue, be sure to check with any questions about design and materials. To find your next, stop by Just a Little Charm. Reviewers say Just A Little Charm is a “go-to” for personal and unique gifts, all made of up-cycled copper, or choose from a nice selection of sterling silver earrings or necklaces hand-crafted by local artisans. All necklaces come on a 20″ chain except for the zipper pull.

Lisa's Favorite Local Shops

There are definitely a lot of options in Bend when it comes to shopping. It makes for excellent window shopping but most people will just go to Downtown Bend or Old Mill. Here is a list that can get you information on a variety of cute boutiques that are all around Bend. These shops vary between more specific shopping, clothing etc, while also varying in location. You can visit Iron Horse in the historical part of town, discover you’re next big find while also getting to view the old houses. If you are looking for shoes, then you could visit Shoe Inn on the Eastside of town followed by a trip to Worthy Brewing as a treat (shopping isn’t easy, so reward yourself for those successful moments!).
