The Teen Challenge Thrift Store Shop on Bend’s southeast side above SE Reed Market Road encourages you to “Donate. Change a Life.” Pacific Northwest Adult & Teen Challenge operates thrift shops throughout the region as part of their commitment to provide recovery services to men and women who struggle with life-controlling problems. Your donations of merchandise and patronage help them keep 350 beds available at their centers. They can send a truck to your house and load your donation, free of charge. If you choose to drop items off at the store, they will help you unload, and provide a receipt for your tax-deductible donation. Each day there are 75 students working in their stores, gaining real work experience in a healthy environment, with their training providing an opportunity to help them get jobs upon graduation. Their stores offer some of the lowest prices in town on a tremendous variety of merchandise, from collectibles and vintage items to clothes, furniture, and more. Open Monday – Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
